Snow family at 512 Colville Street

Rarely do we get the treat of receiving a group of photographs that are related to house and the identity of the family that lived in it. Sadly, this stately gem was demolished to make way for a new house sometime within the past five years. These photographs date to the late mid-1880s to about 1900 when the house was remodeled.

In the 1900 census, Warren Snow (51) from Illinois was living with wife Mary J. Snow (58) from Canada. Their children were son, Alburn Snow (21) and daughters Daisy W. Snow (17) and Jennie L. Snow (15). They also lived with two boarders, Henry T. Rector and Charles G. Groff.

We’ll be adding additional found information about the family below the photographs to help piece together a history of the Snow family. Please, feel free to add in the comments if you find or have knowledge of supplemental information.
